Continuum — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026 · Continuum is published by Montauk Analytics Inc.

The short version. Continuum is a local-first tool. We do not operate a server that collects your prompts, code, or files. The prompts and files you send flow from your device to your own computer and then to the AI provider you choose, to generate a response. We don’t sell your data, show ads, or embed third-party trackers.

1. Who we are & what Continuum does

Continuum (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a native console for AI coding agents. It runs on your Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch, and lets you start and control AI coding sessions and chats. The iPhone and Watch apps connect to a companion process running on your own Mac over a private network (Tailscale); your Mac runs the AI command-line tools you have installed and authenticated.

2. Data that is sent to third-party AI providers

To generate responses, Continuum transmits the content you choose to send — your messages and prompts, and the contents of any files you attach or reference — to the AI provider you select for that session or chat. This content is routed through your paired Mac to the provider. The providers Continuum can send to are:

Each provider receives your content under its own account that you have configured, and processes it under its own privacy policy and terms, which provide protections for your data. We encourage you to review the policies linked above. Continuum does not control how these providers use the data you send them, and we do not receive a copy of your prompts on any Continuum-operated server.

Your consent. Before you can send anything to an AI provider, Continuum shows you a one-time disclosure describing what is sent and to whom, and asks you to agree. You choose which providers to enable, and you can stop using any provider at any time.

3. Data processed only on your own devices

The following stays on your devices and your Mac, and is not collected or transmitted to us:

4. What we do not do

5. Security

Connections between your devices and your Mac use the Tailscale private network with a bearer token held in the Keychain. Communication with AI providers uses standard encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) as implemented by each provider’s tools.

6. Children

Continuum is a developer tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

7. Your choices

You decide which AI providers to enable and what to send. Because your history is stored locally, you can delete chats and sessions on your devices, and you can manage data held by an AI provider directly through that provider.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
